Figgy Foods draws its inspiration from the ancient legacy of figs, a fruit deeply embedded in religious narratives and cultural symbolism across civilizations. From the biblical narrative of Adam and Eve to the spiritual enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama beneath the Bodhi Tree, figs have symbolised divine essence and transformative power. The significance of the fig tree is evident in legends like Athivaradhar, a nine-feet idol made from the divine fig tree, embodying strength and spirituality. In the heart of India, the fig tree, also known as the peepal tree, holds sacred connotations, representing tradition and resilience.
Figgy Foods cultivate top-quality fig saplings in our state-of-the-art tissue culture laboratory. Using an invitro method, we carefully nurture selected high-yield plants for two months until they’re ready to thrive in their new environment. After this initial growth period, we transition the plants to open spaces to adapt to the local conditions.
